Scylla and Charybdis Fireback

Scylla and Charybdis are sea monsters from Greek mythology, positioned on opposite sides of a narrow strait. Scylla is a six-headed beast that snatches sailors from passing ships. Charybdis is a giant whirlpool that swallows everything nearby three times a day. During his journey, Odysseus had to choose between them and decided to sail closer to Scylla, sacrificing a few men to save his ship. The tale represents a classic dilemma—being forced to choose between two equally dangerous options.
